Cool schools

Schools in My Country

Why a 32% of schools in Spain are private schools?  What does they have in common with the  public ones? In fact, we spend the same hours at the school, six hours and a half per day!

Students of Spain can go to the kindergarden when they are three, but they attend
primary school at the age of five. When we are twelve, we go to secondary school, at the age of 16, when we finish secondary school, we go at a baccalaureate degree, where the teachers prepare you for an exam called “selectivitat”. It decides your admittance to universities.

I’m on my third year of secondary school, we have to do ten subjects, a lot  of them are compulsory, SUCH as English, Catalan, Projects, Music... But there are others that are optative, like entrepreneurship, theater, and classic culture. One of my favourite subjects are Geography/ History, that is a subject called Social Sciences. I really enjoy the class.
I’m also doing an extra-curricular activity in my free time, futsal. I train twice during the week, and a match at the weekend.

In my opinion, most of the schools in Spain give to students a well-rounded education.
But it only depends of students because all the teachers are well qualified. When we finish, the students we have a very good preparation and a wide range of knowledge.
